Slow down on version 3.0

There has been a slow down on progress on version 3.0

Due to the heavy use of Mysql.pm from mysql/msql module package being depreciated I've decided to redo all the database interaction of the code to go back to using DBI.pm instead. This will ensure database interaction support for a long time to come without the need for further modifications to how it interacts with the databases.
