Admin Database Updater

As of version 1.45 there is a new database updater program, dbupdate.cgi, that will be distributed with administration. As long as you have the fields.pl file with your release of admin package it will update the admin database to meet the requirements of that release. You no longer have to have each update script from each release to bring the admin database fully up to your current release.

The new updater will update any number of release revisions you have missed between your upgrades. If you go from 1.20 to 1.45 it will completely update your admin database so that it is compatible with 1.45 release.

The dbupdate.cgi will never need to be changed and relies on fields.pl file for definitions of what your current database structure should be.

There should be no data loss during the updates except for data that is no longer used such as a field being dropped and no longer being used by the software.
